Finalised presentation:
The quality of some of the photographs are not up to standard in this example, due to links being lost in the process or sharing the presentation between each other.
Before we presented, we divided the slides up equally so we all spoke about the ones we knew most about and had a fair amount of talking each.
Evaluation
After viewing other people's presentations, something we completely didn't touch on is funding, as there is funding out there to help businesses start up and for creatives as well, so this is something that should of been looked into in hind sight.
Also, my research into the spending and budget was directed at some of the wrong things, as in things were missing from my research that should of been included, such as specifying into more detail what was in each category, such as Adobe License, printer, stock, inks etc, rather than being vague. Things to include in the budget could of been more for general stationary, such as pens, rubbers, copic markers, insurance, furniture, any marketing or advertising costs, any unplanned maintenance issues etc.
Another aspect that should of been included in the presentation are the business cards, as initially the idea was to include a photograph of them, however it took longer than expected to get a printing slot and then photograph them, and then it was decided to pass the business cards round instead, however I forgot to do this, so nobody knew we had made them. It would also of been interesting to show the roots brand on something other than business cards and a website, perhaps on personalised envelopes or as a mock up entryway to our studio.
All in all, I am a little disappointed with my own performance for this study task, as I felt I could of pulled my weight more, and taken on a more active role within the research and compilation stage. This would then of resulted in a more professional and well rounded presentation, covering everything you could think of to a high standard, not 'what will do'.
