OUGD502 TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS - BUSINESS CARD INITIAL DESIGNS

Brainstorming with the other members of the company, we came up with things we wanted within the business card, and I then produced sketches based on these.

Business card potential requirements.

Business card initial sketches and duplexing colour combinations.
The colour choices of green, brown and white, with the possibility of a recycled stock reflect the companies natural nature, using analogue techniques, "getting back to the roots of design", to produce work wherever possible instead of going straight into digital. Perhaps the use of green and brown are too obvious? Maybe blue and brown would be a more subtle hint?
Considerations must also be taken into the cost of production for the business cards, as duplexing is an added expense, and triple duplexing would add even more cost to production. These factors must be considered for a start up company, perhaps an initial business card should be produced, with a mock up or trial of the ideal business card no expense spared for when the business starts making enough money to afford the best business card.

The next stage would be to create digital mock ups of these designs, presenting them to the rest of the company for feedback and preferences, before adaptations are made and physical mock ups produced.
